Prize packages are offered to the composers of the Winning Works and Composers in Jeu de temps / Times Play 2016 and cash prizes are additionally offered to the composers of the top three works. Each year, the generous donations by our Project Partners — a diverse collection of interested and supportive individuals and institutions across Canada and around the world — make it possible for us to offer several thousand dollars worth of CDs, DVDs, books, magazine subscriptions and more to JTTP winners.
Our Media Partners help us promote the project through the coordination of various Events, Concerts and Radio Broadcasts that feature JTTP works throughout the year. Visit the Participants and Submissions page any time to listen to all 38 submissions to the 17th edition of JTTP, and to read programme notes and composer biographies.

Concert Presentations
Since 2014, each year’s JTTP 1st prize winner is presented in the annual Akousma festival, an annual festival of digital immersive music produced in Montréal since 2005.
The composers of the top 5 placing works are invited to present their works in a prestigious international context that “roams” each year to a different country. JTTP 2014 winners travelled to Seia, Portugal, to present their work in the 21st Dias de Música Electroacústica (DME) and JTTP 2015 winners participated in the KONTAKTE festival in Berlin, Germany. In spring 2017, the JTTP 2016 winners travel to Morelia, Mexico, where they will be welcomed by the Centro Mexicano para la Música y Artes Sonoras (CMMAS) for a concert of their works.
Akousma XIII — “Multiformes” — This year’s festival des musiques numériques immersives (28–31 October) features the Canadian première of Myriam Boucher’s videomusic work Nuées (2016), for which she was awarded 1st Prize in Jeu de temps / Times Play 2016. Also on the programme are works by Joël Lavoie (QC), Myriam Bleau (QC), Pipo Pierre-Louis (EC/QC) and Pita (GB).
http://www.facebook.com/events/463886830669791 Del otro lado del muro: Música electroacústica actual de Canadá — Following up on a collaboration between the two institutions in 2010, the Centro Mexicano para la Música y Artes Sonoras (CMMAS) is partnering with the CEC in April 2017 to present the prize-winning works of the 2016 edition of Jeu de temps / Times Play (JTTP), an annual project supporting the work of young and emerging composers / sound artists in Canada.
Support
Institutional and Financial Support
Jeu de temps / Times Play (JTTP) is made possible in part thanks to a partnership fostering research and creativity in Canadian electroacoustics established with Concordia University in 1986.
The CEC also gratefully acknowledges the support of the SOCAN Foundation, who supports a range of CEC activities through their Annual Operations programme.
The presence of winning composers and the CEC Administration at the JTTP 2016 concert in Mexico is made possible through the kind support of the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec and the Canada Council for the Arts.
Further financial support is provided by each and every CEC Member, whose membership dues continue to contribute to the success of projects coordinated by the CEC.
The cash prizes awarded each year to the top three placing artists are possible thanks to the kind donations of the individuals mentioned above.
