Teaching

In the summer of 1999, I began a new position as Assistant Professor (Sound in Media) at Concordia University Department of Communications. I teach Sound 3, an upper-year undergraduate digital Sound production course. I also teach Histories of Sound Technologies and Communication Analysis of Environment.


In Fall-Winter 1998-99, I taught Electroacoustic Music at Queen's University School of Music in Kingston, Ontario. This course was taught using the facilities of the Queen's Electroacoustic Music Studios.

In the summer of 1998, I taught Introduction to Web Design and Introduction to Multimedia [Director] at Ontario College of Art and Design.

In Fall-Winter 97-98, as in the previous two years, I was a studio instructor in Interactive Multi-Media INFA 2930.08, working with course director Don Sinclair. At York University, I taught in the Fine Arts Cultural Studies programme in the Faculty of Fine Arts at York University, at the WFFACC (Winters Faculty of Fine Arts Computer Centre).

In the summer of 1997, I taught Computers for Artists at the Ontario College of Art and Design.

In summer 96 I was a course director for INFA 1931: Computer Imaging and Soundscape Composition.

In 1995-96, as well as being a studio instructor in INFA 2930, I was also a tutorial leader for INFA 1900 Arts and Ideas in Popular Culture taught by Nina De Shane and Renate Wickens.


In Summer 1994, I was Course Director, Introduction to the Musical Experience, for Atkinson College at York University.

I was also Course Director, Fundamentals of Musical Perception, Music Department, Faculty of Fine Arts, York University, 1993-94.
